Provincial Director PCol. Romano V. Cardiño, sa pakikipagpulong sa mga kabataan hinggil sa drug addiction, matapos madakip ang notoryus na tulak na ilegal na droga sa kanilang lalawigan.
Ayon kay Col. Cardiño, nitong nakalipas na linggo ay nadakip ng kanyang mga tauhan ang suspek na kinilalang si Jecar Alonzo Barker, top 5 most wanted person dahil sa kasong paglabag sa RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), sa tinutuluyan nito sa Purok 4, Brgy. East Dirita, San Antonio, Zambales.
Sa bisa ng warrant of arrest na inilabas ng korte ay isinagawa ng PNP-Zambales-San Antonio MPS at 305th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, 2nd platoon, sa pamumuno ni P/Lt. Mark B. Almero, ang law enforcement operation sa Purok 4, Brgy. East Dirita, San Antonio, Zambales na nagresulta sa pagkakadakip sa suspek.
Nabatid na bago isinilbi ang warrant of arrest na inisyu ni Presiding Judge Santiago Beltran Jr., ng RTC Branch 69, 3rd Judicial Region, Iba, Zambales, ay nagsagawa muna ng surveillance and intelligence operation ang mga tauhan ni Col. Cardiño laban sa suspek.
“My governance has always been geared towards the interest of the beleaguered. The most convenient prey of drugs are the poor people in the downline, though it also did not spare the upper class.
PNP Zambales would like to leave a mark in the province that it exhausted all efforts to fight the drug menace,” pahayag ni Col. Cardiño.
